first of all, visual effects in this movie is absolutely great, but only great visual and fine action couldn't carry a weak and mediocre plot. when i watch this movie i had a feeling that im already saw him many times before, even if its not. so i think, that even for marvel's movies that kind of screenplay are very cliched and bad. so i've give it a very weak 6/10. read more

i was concerned that seeing this on anything less than an imax screen would reduce my enjoyment. i was wrong. this is so dammed good. tonally it's just spot on and the plot is just firing from the start. the vfx here are something else. absolutely blew me away again. read more

as usual marvel has kept their winning streak up with another well made, exciting and action packed adventure. this time the introduce dr. strange to the mix and it sure as hell doesn't disappoint. it boy benedict cumberbatch plays dr. strange. he's as always awesome as the title character. then you have oscar worthy actors surrounding him: chiwetel ejiofor, tilda swindon and a scene stealing mads mikkelson as the bad guy cause he's just awesome at being bad. you also have the cute sexy and loveable rachel mcadams in the movie who is always great because she is cute, loveable and sexy. read more

Rewatched the majority of this movie to refresh my memory on how stuff relating to Doctor Strange worked and it doesn't hold up that well. I'm usually okay with or indifferent to marvel humour, but found it pretty cringe inducing here and I didn't care about Strange's journey and struggles throughout the film or his relationships. The stuff at the hospital was very meh. Mordu as a character is really weird to me, specifically where he ends up by the movie's conclusion which felt like it just came out of nowhere, very forced. I love this movie. I love how it explores magic and impossibilities and the craziest side of Marvel. Watching Stephen's mind be blown, being shown that science and magic are on in the same is so oddly satisfying. I love every scene the Ancient One is in. She is mesmerising. The way elegance in the way that she speaks, it's like poetry. I'll be honest, I can't actually watch this movie without feeling nauseous throughout the first quarter. Really nice addition to the Marvel Universe. Loved the magical and spiritual aspect. Another movie in the never-ending Marvel franchise. Benedict Cumberbatch does well in the title role supported by Chiwetel Ejiofor, Tilda Swinton,Rachel McAdams and Mads Mikkelson. I didn't go much for the computer graphics and it just looked like a cheaper version of "Inception" The effects were ok but as expected for this kind of movie. Great locations for the filming of several key sequences make this film a little better. Worth a look but don't expect too much read more

I guess I didn't exactly need to see this again before going to see the new one, especially when Strange has been in multiple MCU films since his origin. It's not like this is where the story left off for him, but I did want to remind myself what happened to the peripheral characters, especially the ones I barely remember being here at all.
