A Walk Among the Tombstones

i've gotta say, i love the 'liam neeson has balls' franchise. it's a whole lot of fun, and even if the films themselves aren't the greatest films ever made neeson has so much 'gravitas' he elevates them to a level they otherwise wouldn't be at. a walk among the tombstones is the 6th in the franchise (following taken, unknown, the grey, taken 2 and non-stop). this time neeson is a former cop who has a nose for detective work and the balls of a demi-god. nothing scares him, not even a gun held point blank at his face by a sadistic killer. once again, neeson is awesome and although the film read more

liam neeson is able to add a thoughtful, reflective quality to just about any role with a little bit of effort. it's amazing how talented the actor is at doing this, and he invests his considerable skill at it into playing alcoholic private detective matthew scudder in a walk amongst the tombstones. there's more than just neeson's work to enjoy here but he certainly dominates the proceedings with his guilt-ridden, recovering character who is put on the case of finding men who kidnapped and killed a drug dealer's wife. neeson is a force to be reckoned with but also builds a lot of chemistry... read more
