what great songs. the sound of music is everything that we want musicals to be. it has an engaging story that would be worth watching on its own, a great performance from julie andrews, and a lot of catchy tunes. the songs stick with you for days after you watch it and you remember them for life. they also beautifully incorporate the songs into the story. most musicals stop to sing and then resume after the song is done, here the songs serve a purpose. there is actually a reason why the characters are singing, that really puts the sound of music into the all time classics. read more

Bello cantare e ballare nella natura, ma vuoi mettere il saluto a Heil Hitler come elemento più fondamentale per la storia?Un film dalla colonna sonora e musicalità meravigliosi ma che purtroppo vengono inseriti in una trama eccessivamente diluita con elementi forzati e poco sensati , fondendo due generi cinematografici anche differenti (Musical&Romantic e History film!) e portando il film a quasi 3h di durata senza alcun giovamento nell'intrattenimento!
