i should probably give this a 4.5 but i just can't bring myself to do it. my only complaint is that i wish there was more. possibly some more backstory for the benbow inn or john silver or jim. part of the movie's charm though is that you don't know everything about the characters, and they still manage to be interesting and compelling. oh, and i guess the whole collapsing star thing is a bit unrealistic but c'mon, it's an animation where characters breathe in space on flying 15th century shipping vessels. why can't stars collapse spontaneously into black holes too? read more
