genre list - heist/dirty cops i really liked this. the cast is great and its good to see keanu do something like this, playing an unlikeable character. i feel this is slightly underrated - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read more

when i discovered john woo movies as a teenager, all other cop movies became try-hards by comparison. by that same token, if keanu wasn't chasing buses, jumping out of planes, or storming government lobbies, i wasn't having it. as that same teenager, the trailer for street kings sold me a movie that was non stop action. like a goddamn video game. well, it's not. and when i first saw it, i was- of course, underwhelmed. revisiting it now, about 9 years later- i can appreciate it as the ridiculous cop thriller that it is. keanu reeves is playing the goddamn lone ranger, and los angeles is read more
