now we're talking. this is much closer to what i was expecting from a star trek film. ricardo montalbán is just a badass. whatever character he's playing he's awesome at it. sadly, we'll see no more of him. once again, gorgeous set design. the thing i'm not sure about. have i seen this before? i know the khan stuff, as does anybody who uses the internet. however; i've also seen the ear worm bit. that's all i remember though so maybe it was a clip. khaaaaaaan! james t kirk defies the laws of physics and creates sound in a vacuum! read more

I saw this film today in a packed cinema, on the big screen, and I have to say it was one of the best filmgoing experiences. With the way Wrath of Khan is talked about, and the manner in which it is dated, you could be forgiven for watching it and thinking it's an equal parts smart and silly space opera with larger than life characters and stilted military posturing in equal measure. You'd be wrong, but you could at least be forgiven. But tonight, with a crowd who loved it, I got to realise just how funny, just how inspiring, just how beautiful and just how wonderfully affecting it is. Star... read more
