i really like mark ruffalo and think he is a great actor who picks great roles. i really like kiera knightley and think i'm in love with her. she is probably, in my opinion, the most beautiful woman in the world. i really like the film once and it featured a fantastic song called falling slowly that i can't get enough of. so when this film came out and got great reviews i really wanted to see it. i missed it in theatres but a few weeks ago i found it for $4.88 at walmart and last night i watched it. i didn't think it would be as good as once, i mean that movie was pretty solid right? well i was wrong. i can honestly say that i haven't watched a movie that made me feel so good in a very long time. this is the epitome of a feel good, light hearted, romantic dramedy. i had a smile on my face literally the whole time. the cast is of course, awesome, and that includes adam levine and cee lo green. i truly believed ruffalo was a musical producing genius. the scenes set to music were amazing. the chemistry between the two leads was uncontainable. the scene where ruffalo hears knightley perform for the first time, played out three times, and each time differently, was genius, especially the time ruffalo imagines all the other instruments playing along. and the script was pretty much perfect. the music was great but no song here can touch falling slowly. that is probably the only thing in this film that isn't as good as once with everything exceeded that film and my expectations. i'm not sure exactly what it was that made the film work so well for me but every little thing in it worked so well and gelled to well together that this unconventional romance really captured my heart. not that it is a tearjerker and not that i cried but i was sad when this ended. i was having such a good time that i wish that this movie was longer, much longer, endless. if you haven't seen this movie and have ever had an inkling to do so then stop reading this and go do so. it is the very definition of 'feel good' and if you do decide to watch it then make sure to give me a call and i'll come watch it with you. production design: 9 out of 10 cinematography: 9 out of 10 re-playability: 9 out of 10 originality: 10 out of 10 costumes: 9 out of 10 directing: 10 out of 10 editing: 9 out of 10 acting: 9 out of 10 music: 9 out of 10 script: 10 out of 10 93/100
